Ingredients:
1.5 cups almond flour
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1.75 cups ground sugar
3 large eggs
5tbsp butter
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 tsp coffee (optional)
1/4 tsp cinnamon powder (optional)
1/4 cup coarsely ground walnuts (optional)
Parchment paper
Baking tin (1 use a square tin)
1tsp salt- I use salted AMUL butter so I don’t add extra salt.
Method:
Preheat the open at 250 degrees
Line the baking tin with parchment paper.
In a bowl, add sugar, cocoa powder, eggs, vanilla essence, coffee, butter, cinnamon powder. Beat with an electric beater and slowly add the almond flour and baking the powder.
Use a spoon to fill the baking tin and bake in the over at 175degrees for 30-35 minutes or until it’s done.
Test with a toothpick. The crust should be crisp and brown but the inside should be slightly gooey.
Remove from the oven and let it cool down else the knife will break the brownies. Once cool, cut it into pieces and enjoy with strawberries, hot coffee or a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. 🙂
