A nutritionist with a mission to educate people, Sahiba launched a #DitchTheDiet programme, through which she aspires to help people break out of the vicious cycle of weight-gain and weight-loss and equip them with the right nutrition knowledge and tools to stay fit and healthy.

All her talks are intended to be interactive where she answers questions, encourages audience participation and usually also includes one activity around food which gives the audience a little taste of the concept. Being a nutritionist, a mother, a traveler and someone who has been through the cycle of dieting, she is familiar with the struggles one faces in the weight-loss journey. She hence,  feels the urge and responsibility to help as many people as she can in understanding the most sustainable and realistic method of losing weight and making a transition to a healthier life. A dynamic and entertaining speaker, her talks are lively and fun. She has spoken to a vast number of people coming from different walks of life.

 

 

 

 

 

Corporates & Entrepreneurs

She was invited to talk to a group of entrepreneurs called ‘The Risers’ in Delhi where she spoke about the basics of nutrition and addressed nutrition and fitness concerns relevant to the audience.

She spoke to a group of corporates at Munter, Mumbai where she shared easy ways of incorporating healthy foods in their busy work life. She also enlightened them about the concept of Intuitive Eating.

 

 

Senior Citizens

She addressed an esteemed audience of senior citizens at the Rotary club, South Delhi chapter and shared with them right nutrition required at that age, specific diets for diabetes and hypertension, supplements needed, exercise and benefits of strength training in delaying sarcopenia and how to embrace successful ageing.

 

 

 

 

Intuitive Eating Workshop

She organised and conducted a workshop on Intuitive Eating at Tres, Delhi with a spiritual healer friend where they combined light talks with meditation and a specially curated food menu. She explained the concept of Intuitive Eating, and the participants were asked to intuitively choose food and drinks from the menu.

 

 

 

 

Nutrition ‘gup-shup’ over a tea cup

She organised a ‘Chai pe charcha’ which was free for all. She opened her home and garden and shared a beautiful winter evening around bonfire, masala tea and some delicious snacks brought by all participants. An interactive session, she answered questions ranging from micro-plastics in marine life and their impact on human health to weight memory, anxiety and emotional eating.

 

 

 

Nutrition Lesson Plan for school children

She has designed a Lesson plan for 4th graders which helps them learn about the benefits of eating fruits and vegetables with easy activities. It is available on request to be adapted into any school curriculum.
